You Are Your Best Critic

Remember that old adage, “we’re our own worst critics.” Although this statement can be true, I

would like to share another perspective. I believe we’re our own best critics. No one knows you

better than yourself. However, there has to be a balance. A balance between not being over

critical, and critiquing when and where it’s needed. In order to grow, you must analyze the

areas in your life that you want to improve. With that being said, it doesn’t mean that we

should be hard on ourselves and undervalue who we are. We’re human, we make mistakes,

make terrible decisions and say things we later regret😣; and we pay for those things (life is no

fairy tale, Galatians:6:6). However, on a daily basis, we’re decent people, we work hard, we

make great choices, we learn from our mistakes and grow as a result. We can evaluate

ourselves, our actions and decisions to see if our actions will bring about the desired results in

our lives. Critiquing yourself can be a good thing, only if there is balance to seek improvement.

So be your own best healthy critic and make improvements where needed.
